Electro Adda test room is capable to conduct OEM system verification to simulate real operating conditions in the field @ rated conditions. This project consists in assessing the electro-fan performance @ 480V 60Hz including repetitive starting sequence. The motor is fed by the internal 60Hz network, thermal sensors embedded in the motor stator winding will detect the actual and transient temps while other running parameter are automatically recorded by the test bench data logger. Assisting clients and certifying performance is part of our commitment to the market and a crucial differentiation factor.

Electro Adda manufacturing process includes Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) for medium to large machines or whenever dictated by the application/client/specification e.g. inverter duty.
Our system is automatically controlled – dry out of stator before VPI, resin temperature, cycle timing, pressure and vacuum parameters – to guarantee the optimal resin performance and deep penetration.
Further to VPI, the stator will be cured to uniformly distribute the resin on the volumes.
Cycles are automatically recorded to keep traceability.
To confirm the process matches the design and contractual parameter – Partial Discharge readings per IEC60034-18-41 are conducted to move the part to the next steps.

Electro Adda cooperation with schools/universities is strong and ranges from thesis to consultancies to jointly developed initiatives such as the Teaching Factory with Politecnico di Milano.
On Dec 16 we delivered a speech about “Design and Construction of Automotive Electric Motors” to provide the students a view on how electric rotating machines are designed, manufactured and tested.
Further – given Electro Adda has active members at CEI (Comitato Elettrotecnico Italiano) – the audience was also given an overview about in progress project with IEC to create a standard still missing for such products.
